The transformation of Banksy’s painting into an NFT (non-fungible token) ushered in a new era in digital art. From now on, artists can exhibit their works at online auctions, and collectors can acquire fundamentally new objects — proof of ownership of the digital original of these works.

But not only pictures can become non-fungible tokens.

In 2021, the world chess champion Magnus Carlsen put up his lot for the NFT auction. The Champion Combo has also become a new type of Collectible Digital Item.

What else can become such objects? How can you surprise and interest modern collectors?

It is the possibility of realization as collectible items that opens up prospects for the creation of digital objects of a new type.

Tokenizing the kick of UFC fighters

Create an NFT-based collectible from a digital cast of UFC kicks

What is the business concept? You can digitize the strikes of UFC fighters, tokenize them (NFT) and put them up for public auctions as collectible artifacts of a new type.

Fighting sports fans will be able to purchase digital casts of their idols’ kicks at open auctions.

How does this technology work? A fighter with a fan base strikes a punching bag equipped with sensors. The combination of blows can be anything, at the discretion of the fighter. These strikes are processed by software and the result is a unique digital imprint of the fighter’s strikes. This cast becomes the object for the creation of the NFT as a collectible.

Next, NFT is put up for auction, where anyone can buy an official digital autograph of their favorite fighter, made using a shock combination.

Also, you can create digital copies of individual, branded strikes of fighters. The result will be a unique collectible object — an official digital copy of the hit of Conor McGregor (the famous left hook), Francis Ngannou (the monstrous hammerfist), Justin Gaitji (the most insidious low kick) and other UFC stars.

And you can put each of them on your virtual collectible shelf.

Variant name of the final product: digital imprint of the strikes combination (DISC). The title can include the name of the author of the beats (for example DISC_McGregor).

How to implement this?

It will take:
- DISC production technology
- Certification system
- Product Tokenization (NFT)
- Marketing support

DISC creation technology. The technology should include the technical part — a punching bag equipped with sensors to record the parameters of the blow. Existing technological developments can be used to create individual digital models of fighters’ strikes. Also, a program is needed to process the data and convert them into the final result — an oscillogram, a file containing the most complete information about the shock combination.

Certification system. Certification implies the legal registration of the procedure for creating a digital impression of a shock combination, indicating the parties — the copyright holder of the digital object / token being created (UFC organization), the author of the strike (UFC fighter), the technology used to create a digital impression. The certificate guarantees compliance with the DISC creation technology, as well as its authenticity.

DISC tokenization, NFT creation. Further, the finished digital product is issued as a non-fungible token and put up for auction, at already existing sites or at a specially created one, where combinations and individual blows of fighters can be presented, collectively forming digital collections.

Marketing support. Product positioning development, preparation of the first event. The key marketing message is the ability to purchase an official digital fingerprint of your favorite UFC fighter’s kick or an entire set (collection).

Such tokens will occupy a special place in the digital collections of the future — sports, intellectual, art, etc. Along with others waiting in the wings.

It can be done.
